Welcome to Bare Acre Farm

Bare Acre is a working farm with a simple purpose: to grow good food, grow beautiful flowers, and help rebuild a local food economy that works for people, land, and community.

Everything here starts in the soil. We grow seasonal vegetables and cut flowers using organic principles, guided by the rhythms of the year rather than shortcuts or imports. What we don’t grow ourselves, we source as close to home as possible, from people we know and trust.

Vegetables, grown naturally

Our vegetables are grown for flavour, freshness, and nutrition—not shelf life. From early spring greens to high-summer abundance and winter staples, our fields and tunnels are planned to feed local households week after week. This produce forms the backbone of everything we do, from veg boxes to the farm shop and café.

Veg boxes for North Fingal

Our veg boxes are a direct link between the farm and your kitchen. Delivered locally across North Fingal, they’re available as subscriptions or one-off orders and filled with what’s genuinely in season. Each box reflects the time of year, the weather, and the work happening in the fields that week—no filler, no flying food.

Flowers with a sense of place

Our flowers are grown slowly and cut fresh, with a focus on variety, vase life, and seasonal beauty. Available by the bunch, bucket, or as bespoke arrangements, they’re designed and arranged by Lynette, using flowers that reflect the landscape and time of year. From everyday stems to weddings and farewells, our flowers are local in the truest sense.

Learning, shared openly

Education is a core part of Bare Acre. Throughout the year we run month-by-month courses and workshops in organic growing, vegetable production, cut flowers, floristry, home baking, cooking, and traditional crafts. These are practical, grounded courses, taught by people who do the work every day and believe knowledge should be shared, not guarded.

The farm shop & coffee

Our farm shop is where everything comes together. You’ll find our own vegetables and flowers alongside home baking, preserves, thoughtful gifts, and excellent coffee. It’s a place to pick up food for the week, meet neighbours, and take a moment—whether that’s with a coffee after a walk or a chat at the counter.

The food truck

At weekends, our food truck adds another layer to the farm. It’s a small but lively part of the business, serving big farmer breakfasts and proper burgers made with local ingredients. It brings people onto the farm, feeds families well, and keeps the place buzzing.

The people behind Bare Acre

Bare Acre was founded by Ber and Dave, and it’s sustained by a small, committed team who grow, bake, serve, pack, teach, and welcome. We employ locally, buy locally, and invest back into the community whenever we can—because resilient food systems are built by people, not supply chains.

Our mission

Bare Acre exists to help rebuild a local food economy—one that values freshness over convenience, skills over scale, and connection over speed. By growing food and flowers, sharing knowledge, and keeping money circulating locally, we’re working toward a future where farms like this are once again central to everyday life.

This is Bare Acre.
Rooted here. Grown for now. Built for the long term.
