It's More Than a Farm - It's a Destination

An Oasis of Calm

Bare Acre Farm stands on an acre and a half of sustainably managed market garden with a quirky farm-shop attached, all of it situated on the edge of the small fishing village of Loughshinny. But in reality, Bare Acre Farm and Farm Shop is much more than that.

When people talk about The Bare Acre, they talk about the quality of the homemade produce, the farmhouse bread, the scones and cakes , they talk about the people who make the farm what it is and they comment on the vibrant display of vegetables, the quality of the free range eggs, the homemade soup and the wonderful coffee. But there is something else that almost every visitor comments on, the sense of wellbeing inspired by a visit to the farm.

The farm is open to all our customers. It is well laid out and with growing crops, our incredibly cute kunekune pigs, our poultry and our soon to arrive pygmy goats, it is a fun place to explore for both the young and the young at heart.

Come visit us Wednesday to Sunday from 10AM to 4PM

The Bare Acre Farm Shop is amazing! Their home grown and locally produced fruit and veg are always gorgeous. You can absolutely taste the difference. They also have fantastic coffee and homemade cakes, not to mention Ber's famous Guinness and treacle bread. The snug is a lovely spot to sit with your coffee or homemade soup.

I love this place.. The Guinness bread, the coffee, the hot chilli sauce, the almond scones, the veggies, the lovely greeting cards made by the owner, the service, the chats, the surroundings, the spotty pigs! I drop in on my way to or from work in Rush, but I definitely need to take the time to park myself in the gorgeous little cabin next to the shop one of these days and just chill and enjoy it all.. 😊

Organic local veg, hens cackling, brown pigs with black polka dotted backs snuffling for truffles, best coffee and scones, baked goods and jams/ chutneys to take away. Porches to sit for chats, a cabin for the cold days. Stay as long as you like, the owners are friendly and the craic is ninety!
