It begins quietly — with the gathering of vegetables from our tunnels and fields, and the scent of spice and fruit drifting from the kitchen. By the time late December arrives, there’s a rhythm to it all: neighbours calling in, familiar faces returning, and the steady hum of preparation that feels as much a part of Christmas as the tree itself.

For us, it’s a time of togetherness — of family reuniting and tables for sons and daughters, brothers, sisters and friends, of food that’s been raised, grown, and made with care. A proper Christmas dinner should taste of the place it comes from — free-range bronze turkeys, hand-cured hams, and vegetables grown in Irish soil. Every part of it carries a bit of the farm on which it was grown or reared and the people behind it.

A Christmas feast wouldn’t be complete without the stars of the table — the vegetables. From crisp roast potatoes to sweet, earthy carrots, tender parsnips, and rich green sprouts, every flavour belongs to the season, and the herbs for your dressings and stuffing and don’t forget the fabulous homemade Cranberry Sauce. Because of the time of year, there will be a few imported vegetables in our Christmas boxes, but the majority will be grown locally and organically, these are the vegetables that make a real Christmas dinner — the kind that tastes of home, care, and the farm that grew them.
