At Bare Acre Farm, we’ve been nurturing the soil and growing high-quality produce for a few years now, and after many requests, we’re excited to announce the launch of our very own Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) model. Starting from mid-May 2025 (give or take, depending on the growing season), we will be offering weekly share deliveries that bring the very best of our farm straight to your door.
What’s in the box? Each week, you’ll receive a seasonal variety of freshly harvested vegetables, free-range eggs, and homemade goodies like our much-loved jam. We’re also delighted to include Ber’s famous Guinness brown bread – a treat all our visitors rave about. There’s even the possibility of adding fresh-cut flowers to brighten your home.
Since this is our first year offering the CSA, we’ll be limiting the program to just 25 members. By expressing your interest now, you’ll have the opportunity to get to the top of the list when subscriptions open. We’ve carefully priced the shares to offer outstanding value and fit a variety of needs, with options for those who want a little more or a little less each week. Whether you’re looking to stock your family’s pantry or just need a smaller share, we’ve got you covered.
How Does It Work?
- Choose Your Plan: We’re offering different subscription options to fit your household’s needs. Whether you’re a family of four or a couple, there’s a plan that will work for you.
- Weekly Deliveries: From mid-May to October, you’ll receive a box of our freshest produce and farm products every week. We will work closely with the seasons to make sure you’re always getting the best the farm has to offer and we only grow crops that are tasty, easy to prepare and popular with all our customers
- Add Flowers: Want to add some beauty to your kitchen table? You’ll have the option to include a fresh bouquet of flowers in your weekly delivery – grown right here at Bare Acre.
- Supporting the Farm: Your subscription helps us plan ahead and invest in sustainable farming practices, meaning we can grow even better produce and continue our mission of farming for the future.
What Can You Expect?
We know life can get busy, and spending too much time peeling and cooking heavy starchy vegetables isn’t always practical. That’s why we focus on growing a variety of fresh, seasonal vegetables that are quick to prepare and require minimal prep time. Expect delicious, easy-to-use produce like carrots, leafy greens, tomatoes, and herbs – all perfect for quick meals. You’ll also enjoy farm-fresh eggs along with homemade jams and Ber’s brown bread, made from scratch each week. Depending on the season and availability, we may also surprise you with a few extra treats.
We know that each year brings its own challenges on the farm, and the weather can be unpredictable – but that’s part of the adventure of supporting a CSA. We aim to be as transparent as possible about what’s coming up each week, so you’ll never be left guessing.
Why Sign Up?
- Support Bare Acre: By joining our CSA, you’re helping us keep Bare Acre Farm growing. Your support helps us continue using sustainable farming methods that benefit the land and the local ecosystem.
- Eat Seasonally: You’ll be eating what’s fresh and in season, which not only tastes better but is also healthier for you and the planet.
- Get to Know Your Farmers: As a CSA member, you’re not just a customer – you’re part of our farm family. You’ll be the first to know about what’s happening on the farm, and you’ll get a front-row seat to the changing seasons.
How to Get Involved
If you’re interested in becoming part of the Bare Acre Farm CSA, we’d love to hear from you. Drop us a message below or drop by the farm shop to chat with us in person. As spaces are limited to 25 members in our first year, those who express interest early will get priority. We’ll be releasing more details about subscription plans and what to expect in the coming months, so keep an eye out for updates.
By May, we’ll be ready to share the first harvest of the season with you. Whether you’re a seasoned Veg Box veteran or new to the CSA concept, we’re excited to welcome you into our growing community.
Let’s work together to make 2025 a year of fresh, local food and strong community connections
